Mobile Version of SCLR
« on: February 22, 2010, 01:19:09 PM »
I've installed a mobile version of SCLR that should make browsing from smartphones a little better.  It's not the prettiest thing but it loads much faster and hopefully the developer will be able to improve it.  Screenshot below is from my Palm Pre; those of you w/ iPhones or Android phones please give it a shot and let me know how it works.

Edit: forgot to mention there's a link at the bottom that allows you to switch to the full version.

I have been using the web version on my Droid. I didn't have any problem looking at the site or replying on that version. This seems to be a little easier to navigate. Thanks for keeping things updated.

i like it.  like i mentioned to you before, one of the previous site updates had introduced some processes or functions that were slowing the browsing on my iphone to a crawl.  that's all been alleviated with the stripped down mobile version.

the only thing i can think of off the top of my head to improve it is to include the "recent topics" box on the mobile homepage.  i'm not sure how much control you have over the layout, but this is probably the first thing that regular users look for upon visiting the site.

Yeah that's the only thing that bothers me.  You can click "unread posts" but it would be better to have the "recent topics" available.  I'll post it as a feature request.
