Bologna

[Edited - fudged numbers on my original post]

Hey guys, we just got back from Europe. We were lucky enough to stop by Bologna for the Ducati tour. For those of you that are interested, the tour is comprised of a factory tour (no pictures allowed - sorry) and a museum tour. It's a pretty remarkable experience. There are about 1000 people at HQ, of which only a fraction churn out all the bikes (the 1000 includes corporate and the race dept). Only 120 people in their race department! If anything I think the tour is worth it to simply gawk at the bikes they have in their museum. Some shots...

Entrance to the museum. Your greeted by the some of newest offerings from the Company.

The first moto produced by Ducati wasn't a moto at all. You got a box with the motor, fuel tank, and various parts to attach to a donor bicycle.

For sure, at the vary least, I can save you some dough on literature (Michelin guide + Italian/English phrase book).

Hey now, come on. We were relatively in the neighborhood, we had to hit it up! BTW, a lot of people speak at least a little bit of English in major cities of Europe. You will need to brush up on your Italian skills for Bologna.

Oh, and in case you want ogle at more petro exotica. Lamborgini, Ferrari, Maserati, Pagani are in or close to Bologna.
