Picked up Leo Vince exhaust for the FZ6
« on: April 23, 2010, 08:17:50 PM »
Yes indeedy, I finally jumped in on some exhaust for my street bike.    8)

I got an amazing deal - now's the time to buy exhaust evidently.  Will post up once I have it all in-hand and installed.

Now ... onto the track bike shock, and I am set on moto stuff for a while!  Until I get my Superduke/Hypermotard.  And my KRL650.  And my scooter(s).  :sport-smiley:

Sweet.  It really does make the bike a little more fun to ride.

$425 shipped - bear in mind, this is a great deal for my bike because of the dual exhaust situation.  Most places sell it for $600 plus tax/shipping; Jazz had 'em listed for $575.  I called in and the guy hooked me up, because they didn't have the cheaper ones I actually wanted (the Scorpions).

Got my Leos installed!  Holy smokes, what a difference!  At idle it sounds a little like Pastor John's bike - yowza!

I can really hear a difference when I am starting off the line, and when shifting.  As it wraps up, it sounds (to me, riding it) about the same as stock.

The next time we're all together, I might ask one of you to do some ride-bys on my bike so I can hear it.  ;D

Congrats! Agatha has a Leo on her R6 and it's definitely a real head turner. To me Leo's sound much more raw than the other pipes out there (in a good way). Though I've noticed it turned down a notch after mapping. Call me a squid, but an after-market pipe definitely contributes to the whole riding experience!

squid.  haha.

Although, I can always tell that there's a bike coming when there's an aftermarket pipe.  Stock piped bikes sometimes seem to appear out of nowhere.  I like the idea of being noticed by cars.
